नमस्कार मंडळी...
With growing number of Maharashtrians in North Carolina’s Greater Triangle Area, a need was felt to bring together all these Maharashtrians and create a home away from home here in the Triangle area. With this objective in mind, the Research Triangle Park Maharashtra Mandal (hereafter referred to as RTPMM in this document) was established in the North Carolina’s Greater Triangle Area in 1986. RTPMM has an active membership of families residing in and around the Greater Triangle Area.

RTPMM is a non-profit (501C) organization. The goal of RTPMM is serving the cultural needs of the local Maharashtrian community. Our mission is to promote, preserve, and cherish the language, culture, art, music, food, beliefs and traditions by promoting local talent within our own Mandals across North America and bring quality programs from India in arts/education/religion/history and literature. In addition to this other part of mission is to pass on the marathi cultural ideas to the next generation covering all the good aspects of it. It is very much essential to communicate all the above with others about our culture through our actions and make our culture part of the main stream by getting involved in the local charity and community based activities.
